Glasgow City Heritage Trust in partnership with the Built Environment Forum Scotland (BEFS) invite you to join us at Govanhill Baths to find out more about this legislation, which will give communities significant power and rights to acquire land and buildings. Throughout the evening we will hear from a variety of organisations about what land is eligible, which community bodies can apply and the process for doing so. Health ServiceSocial Network Bike Town
Bike Town is part of the Healthy n Happy organisation and it's aim is to encourage young and old to get on their bike. A cycle repair service is available and courses for adults aimed at building cycling confidence before they venture on to the road.
Eva Burrows Centre
Located in Cambuslang, Glasgow, Eva Burrows 1st Stop Project provides direct access emergency accommodation for both single individuals and homeless families. The Lifehouse has 32 rooms, however, the maximum occupancy can be 40 due to the family rooms.
Lightburn Elderly Activity Project (LEAP)
This service organises a large variety of activities for the over 50's. They also have a Befriending service and Hands on Project giving practical handyman assistance to the elderly in their homes. There is also an Energy Advice Centre giving advice on home insulation and money saving hints.

Safer Rutherglen Alert Scheme
This is a pilot scheme which includes Police, Fire and Neighbourhood Watch. The scheme provides alerts to local people of any incidents or crime reports in the local area. Once signed up can choose to have free alerts by email, text or pre-recorded phone messages.
Available 24 hours a day to provide confidential emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of distress, despair or suicidal thoughts.
