Matters Arising:
Clatt: Bushes Between Hillhead and Boghead obscuring motorists view. Job raised but still waiting attention
Gartly: 20mph sign at Park Lane has been lowered to the recommended height of 2.3m from footpath surface to the underside of the sign
20mph Speed limit: Reply from Ralph Singleton This would be a lengthy process involving a speed count and assessment against any criteria there may be, an Area Committee report and approval, followed by statutory and public consultation
Funding is likely to obtained to create a footpath between Bogie Bridge and new bus stop on the A97 southbound side
Overgrown hedge between Dunscroft and Burncrunich Job raised. Roads inspector will approach the farmer to carry out the work
Kennethmont: Cracks and potholes Ralph Singleton has arranged for patching work to be carried out
Rhynie: Community Hall heating system has been repaired
Police Report
No Crimes or incidents of note
A local male has been charged on 17th April with the theft of lead from Huntly Castle This person is suspected of involvement in the lead thefts in Noth last year although there is insufficient evidence to report him for these crimes
Grampian Police would appreciate notification of any community events being organised to mark the presence of the Olympic Torch in the area
Young Driver Road show will be held in the Market Muir Huntly on 7th June between 6.30pm and 9.30pm for further information please contact roadsafety@grampian.pnn.police.uk

Public Question Time: The question was raised about the voting system in the Tap O Noth Community Council Elections. Voters need only vote for one nominee if they wish e.g.: if there are three candidates standing for two places a voter can chose to vote for either one or two candidates.
