Minutes of meeting held at Clatt Village Hall 15th August 2011

Sgt Binnings Report:
Police focused on Kennethmont and Clatt for a day in June to see if there was a speeding issue. Nine speeders were warned in Kennethmont, eight at >40mph and two were warned in Clatt. One at >40mph. The areas will be revisited shortly.
Usual policing arrangements are in place for Rhynie Gala and this year the organisers, supported by the police are implementing a ban on entrance for those who are on the Pub watch list.
The Young Driver Road show was held in Huntly on 4th August and was well attended. This is the second year the initiative has been run and coincides with a 9% reduction in the numbers of young drivers/road users being involved in road traffic collisions.
A further lead theft has been reported at east Lodge, Leith Hall Kennethmont.
Mr Grant Mackie:
Mr Mackie came along and gave a report on his planning application for five more wind turbines at Cairnmore, outlining the proposals and also the benefits of the community fund
Bryan & Hilary Ridge voiced their concerns about their water supply and are waiting a reply from SEPA
Concerns were raised over the visual and noise level to the surrounding residents and Mr Mackie said that the noise could be regulated to adhere to the recommended 35 decibels. This would have to be carried out by the manufacturer.
The planning application is due to go before the Planning Committee before the end of 2011
Bogairdy Wind Farm:
Mrs Emma Plumpton representing a number of residents outlined their concerns over the new application for twelve wind turbines at Bogairdy. Their main concerns are:
1. Cumulative impact. 2. Visual impact. 3. Noise. 4.No community benefit. 5.The turbines are to be sited along the ridge of the hill. The council agreed to write to the planning department reiterating their concern
Mr Thomas Murray has resigned as secretary and also councillor for Gartly.
We would like to thank Thomas for his input and dedication.
The Committee decided to advertise the post of secretary in the Huntly Express.
Noth Parish Church Floodlights: It was agreed to pay the November to March electricity bill, the total cost of £69.84 George Beverly to forward the cheque

Unclassified road (Letter to roads department)
Rhynie:
Hedge at Chreag Bheag overhanging the pavement
Trees at The Park also require trimming
Drains at phone box in the Square and at the council sheds in Bogie Road
blocked causing flooding when it rains
Trees in the Square need trimming.
Large stone protruding on to the road near Newseat Cottage on the Cabrach Road.
