Minutes of the meeting held in Rhynie Community Hall on the 27th June 2011

Present – , Mr J Grant, Mr J Matthews (vice chairman), Mr T Murray (Secretary), Mr D Grant ,Mr J Shanks, Mr M Dow, Mrs K Hunter,  Mr P Johnston(co-opted member - Gartly)

Sgt Binning reported on the lead thefts in the area, and police were looking in to several leads at the moment, and also a couple of trailer thefts.

Gartly Kirkney road at first corner as road is subsiding (awaiting reply)


Rhynie – Tap O Noth car park to the bottom of the hill (still to be raised

The gully clearing lorry (awaiting reply)

6 – Individual Area Reports

Clatt – Out of date signs on strainer post advising of road closures, a car had stopped to look at one and caused an accident, why are these signs not removed after the work has been completed. This happened on the siggyden road near cassie. (secretary to report to council)

Kennethmont –When will the road surface from Kirkhill through the village be looked at, this has been ongoing for several years now, and Mr Petrie advised us on progress of the pavement to go past jubilee and mansefield cottages as we had requested previously (secretary to ask about road surface)

There have been trees planted at duncanston near the road side, why has this been aloud to be done as this will cause problems when they get bigger.

The verges in the area have not been cut and are getting overgrown, especialy at corners. Will this be looked at soon. (secretary to enquire)

Gartly – Nothing to report

Rhynie – Still grit on the pavements from the winter, is this goping to be cleared up? The roads were donr but not the pavements (secretary to report)

7 – Public Question Time

Member of public asked about flashing signs for the village as all other villages seem to have them but rhynie has not, we advised this was being looked in to and secretary would chase up for answers.

8 – AOCB

Question was asked about situation with clatt school and Cllr stroud advised us of what has happened to date.

Question was asked about the minutes of the meetings not being on the website and secretary advised I had not had chance to upload yet but would be as soon as possible.

Secretary to ask huntly and strathbogie community council about a possible judge for the garden competition.
