Minutes of the meeting held in Gartly Community Hall on 24th January 2011

2 - Minutes of previous meeting

Sgt Binning reported that it has been a quiet time since our last meeting, no real issues and that the road at mains of gartly has been reported. Sgt Binning was asked if there was anything the police could do to try to get the broom at duff schools trimmed back further as we seem to be getting nothing further done by the council despite numerous reports of the corner being dangerous to road users who can not see vehicles coming round the corner.

Clatt – Nothing to report

Gartly – The ditches on the back road from the village at the first bench up to the forestry road need to be cleared out. And the broom at the sheep pens on the tillathrowie road still need to be cut back despite reported previously. (Secretary to report)


Rhynie – what are the Janitorial arrangements for a second key holder at the hall in Rhynie as the person was off sick and no groups or organisations could use the hall for 10 days.

There are a number of old cars and scrap outside the old council shed which are an eyesore to the residents of Rhynie

The Smithston road near to Smithson Farm is in a bad state of repair, some bits have been fixed but other have not. (Secretary to report)


Kennethmont –

The paper recycling bins in the village have not been emptied in the last 3 months despite several calls being made by residents.

The salt bin at ward house near the wheelie bins needs to be filled again and the salt bin needs to be replaced at Quarry croft on the weets road as it was removed or stolen. (Secretary to report)

Noth Parish Church -  Request for money towards electric for church lights

 

Grampian Fire & Rescue - Update on structure Changes in Aberdeenshire

 

The local development plan is now at the next stage, and the secretary was asked to send a letter to all councillors in ward 14 to say the community council fully supported the applications for the site in Kennethmont however the secretary did submit this online thought the consultation period but forgot to write to the councillors.

Mr D Grant advised us there is no funding available to help provide affordable housing in his proposed site on the new development plan but Mr Grant did advise he could help provide lower cost housing.
