Water Shortages with your Private water Supply.
In the short term Denbighshire can offer you three days’ supply of bottled drinking water per person in the household. This can be collected from the Denbighshire County Council Corporate Stores located on Ffordd Celyn, Lon Parcwr, Ruthin, LL15 1NJ. They would need to be notified you may be calling to collect some water. If you are unable to get to the Corporate Stores due to personal mobility problems, we can arrange for the water to be delivered to you, please let me know if you require this assistance. We have also been able to make available the facilities at your local leisure centre free of charge so you can shower, etc. Go to the reception and inform them you are a there to use the facilities due to your water supply drying up.
Denbighshire CC. can ask for Welsh Water to deliver you an emergency supply, they would bill us for the cost of the water and the transport of a bowser to and from your property and then we would bill you however this would likely be quite expensive.
Another option is to look at hiring a portable water bowser yourself, if you are able to tow a trailer with a vehicle, from a plant hire company (examples below);
You can then fill this yourself from a mains supply. Please remember you will need some way of getting the water into your main storage tank or you can fill buckets from the bowser if you are on a sealed system. The bowser will require a chlorination once every two days to ensure there is no build-up of bacteria. If possible it is best to store the bowser out of direct sunlight.
Below are some companies who may be able to supply an emergency water bowser;

Should you make use of an emergency supply during this period of dry weather, we advise boiling any water for human consumption until your normal supply returns to its usual flow rate. Once boiled and cooled the water can be stored in your fridge for 24hrs after which time it should be thrown out and replaced with freshly boiled water.
