Merger plans for Community Councils in the Bonnyrigg area
Following discussions and public consultations, Bonnyrigg and Lasswade Community Council, and Poltonhall and Hopefield Community Council have agreed to merge to form a single Community Council for our area. The Community Council will be known as:
Bonnyrigg and District Community Council (BDCC)
At a special meeting of Midlothian Council on 28 June 22 the merger was approved unanimously.
Discussions on the details of merger will continue over the next few weeks, and it is hoped the first meeting new BDCC will take place in August.
A new website for Bonnyrigg and District Community Council is currently under construction.
