Questionnaire

 

Alloa Central community Council is doing a report in merging with the Alloa West are formerly known as Alloa West Community COuncil.  We are seeking views from the public and local businesses along with public bodies in preparing our report for Clackmannanshire Council.

At this present time, Alloa is split into 3 community councils, Alloa Bowmar, Alloa Central and Alloa west.  Alloa Bowmar defaulted in 1990's and Alloa West in 2009 leaving Alloa Central as the only community council within the area.

The Community Councils works for the communities of it's area giving the communities a voice within the Local Authority.  They also deal with Public Bodies on behalf of the communities it represents.  As Alloa Central has done more work for the Alloa West area, there has been some members from the Alloa West communities requesting to join the Alloa Central COmmunity COuncil.  It was therefore decided to draw up a report outlining the advantages of one larger community council giving more communities a larger voice within the area.
