The New In PACT Meeting was held on Thursday 31st Jan at the Greenlawn Club. Members of the public  once again dentified obstructive car parking and speeding as cause for concern especially along the Highway.

The Police reported that quite a number of parking fines had been given out to those parking on double yellow lines and those who had ignored warning about obstructive parking near the junctions with New Road and Golf Road.

Local llrs Helen Ford, John Turner and Maurice morgan reported that double yellow lines were to be extended along the Highway on the left hand siode running northward all the way to Golf Road and on the right hand side from Golf road running northwards over the brow of the hill and running southwards to the Family Learnig Centre. In additional permanent 30mph flashig warning signs were to be put up north of Hand Farm Road on the south bound carriageway and near the Lower New Inn Public House on the north bound carriageway. Additional car parking space will to be provided in Festival Crescent.
