New Inn Primary School was recently formed by the amalgamation of Greenlawn Junior School and New Inn Infants School in 2006.

It is the largest primary school campus in Torfaen with some 589 pupils in Years 1 to 6 and 61 pupils in the nursery unit.The school has an excellent reputation for teaching and learning and caring for children and all abilities and educational needs. The school is located off Golf Rd, New Inn with pedestrian access from Hillcrest. The campus is on  a single site with two main buldings- the older junior school building and the newer infants school building. There are long term plans for joing the two building together and migrating the campus towards the new block.

The school has some 61 employees of which 24 are teachers supported by 10 Learning support Assistants. The Head teacher is  Mrs Kate Prendergast.

The School provides an all through education for children aged 3-11 years from the Nursery Unit to  Keystage 1 (4-7) in the infants section and then keystage 2 (7-11) in the junior section.
