Former Torfaen Councillor Advocates tactical voting in the Assemby electiions
21 April 2007
Former Torfaen Councillor Dr. John Cox is standing as a regional candidate for the Socialist Labour Party in Assembly Elections on May 3rd. He is advocating that Labour supporters could reduce the number of Tory seats by using their regional(Party) vote to elect him and deny the Tories two regional seats. Last time labour polled 76,000 votes in the regional ballot and gained no seats. Dr Cox argues that this is a waste and a vote for him would reduce the number of regional Tory seats from two down to one and help the Labour Party in the Assembly.
