Almost £900,000 has been secured to revitalise Pontypool Town centre. The money will help celebrate and preserve the Town's distinctive architecture and improve quality of life for all residents.. It is estimated that the proposal will create up to 100 jobs including a training scheme has been put in place. Plans have identified almost 100 properties eligible for funding with the estimated reapir of 33 buildings, which will put more than 3,000 square metres of retail space back into use.Key projects include grade ii listed St james' Church and 5 commercialStreet, a grade ii listed 18th century Market House.
