ROADWORKS ALERT : Along Milton of Leys Road (from Monarch Road Roundabout) and Inshes Road (to Atholl Place Roundabout)  - 11 months from 7-AUG-25

FURTHER UPDATE 15-AUG-25 Roadworks Traffic Lights on Milton of Leys Road
We spoke to the Roads Department at the Highland Council who were very helpful. They have been visiting the roadworks and speaking with the contractor.
We now understand the following will happen and as this was developed with the Roads Department, hopefully it is more sensible.
The next change won’t have a light head within the leys Square junction but cars will back up past this. On the peak times when school is going in and out they will be removing the traffic management off the road entirely and working with a full far side footpath closure, they will install temporary pedestrian crossing points so there is a safe place to cross for parents and children. This should mean that they don’t need to come into contact with our works.
Once the next 125m of works are complete they will be moving closer to Inshes Road to work back towards the School. To complete the section outside of the school they will double back here in the October break with a full road closure in place between Redwood avenue and Leys square. Access will be available through a diversion route at both ends.
Going forward, any bus stops that are affected by our works will be moved to a temporary position and a safe access provided over the verge for pedestrians to cross over and onto the bus.

Please be careful out there, and take your time.

WORKS ALERT: Cloverfield Park and Meadowfield Park - Monday 4 August 2025 for six weeks.

UPDATE 18-AUG-25

We have been told by Scottish Water about

" work to help reduce the risk of surface water flooding in Cloverfield Park and Meadowfield Park. Our teams have set up a site compound and work to improve two existing underground surface water tanks is now underway. We have estimated these works may take around six weeks to complete. We will of course keep everyone updated on timescales.

While there is no road closure scheduled during the programme of works, there will be an increase in construction traffic while materials are brought to site. Due to limited space, tankers and vehicles will be parked at the side of the road to allow materials to be brought in. Please be assured that our contractors will do all they can to keep any disruption to a minimum. Please see attached some aerial shots of our work area.

In terms of next steps, utility surveys and some vegetation clearance will be carried out to enable excavation works to get underway. We thank residents for their patience and understanding while we have worked to identify and implement this investment. It was disappointing to see recent negative media coverage about these improvements. While we understand frustrations over the timescales involved in  bringing these works to fruition, our team have worked really hard to determine the best way forward and tackle this issue for the community.

If any of your constituents have any concerns or queries, please ask them to contact us directly about this work. Customers can call 0800 0778 778 quoting reference CLOVERFIELD.PARK.INVERNESS/Clancy. Updates will be posted on our dedicated project page at scottishwater.co.uk/CloverfieldPark. "
