Scotland TranServ, Operating Company responsible for the North West Trunk Road Network would like to inform you of essential carriageway resurfacing work planned on the A85 Trunk Road between Fearnoch and Stonefield; the exact extents are shown on a location plan attached with this letter.
The intended start date has been programmed for the 30th of January 2012. We appreciate and apologise for the short notice in informing you of this scheme. However, a programming opportunity has arisen to carry out these essential carriageway works earlier than planned.
We envisage only minor disruption during the surfacing operations, as traffic will be permitted through the works at all times. Nevertheless, to ensure the safety of the workforce traffic control will be put into effect and all passing traffic will be escorted through the site safely by a convoy vehicle.
It is anticipated the works will be carried out over 10 working days, Monday to Friday, between the hours of 08.00 and 18.00. Live updates detailing the progress of the works will be posted on twitter onwww.twitter.com/scot_transerv.
