I've been told by James Russell, Bridge Engineer, Transerv, that Connel Bridge will be closed on 17 January 2011 for 5 nights from 12 midnight to 6 am. The closure is to allow the re-routing of the red power cable by Scottish and Southern Energy and will require the excavation of the exisiting footway across the bridge.
