Strathfillan Community Development Trust

Strathfillan Community Council works closely with Strathfillan Community Development Trust (SCDT).  

SCDT is a registered charity and is managed by a board of Directors, elected at an AGM.  Three Community Councillors (John Riley, Alan Smailes & Isla Craig) are also directors of SCDT.

SCDT is primarily focused on project work, whereas the Community Council has more of a statutory and lobbying role.  In some instances a new local project or campaign may be a joint initiative between the Community Council and SCDT.  Once established, such projects often pass into SCDT control, as that organisation is better placed to raise and administrate appropriate grant funding.

SCDT recently published the Strathfillan Action Plan 2014-2019, which was developed in close collaboration with the Community Council.
