Mr Farooq Dastgir of Coed Camlas, New Inn and Torfaen Council's Chief IT Officer has been charged with conspiracy to commit fraud,falsiying documents and abuising public trust at the Shared Resource Centre in Blaenavon. He is charged along with another person and both will appear at Newport Crown Court on 21st June. The Shared Resource Centre(SRS) at Victoria House, Blaenavon was opened last year and designed to act as an IT nerve centre for Torfaen & Monmouthshire Councils and the Gwent Police.
