Cllr. John Turner has been selected as a Regional Labour Candidate for the Assembly Elections this May. Although coming a close second in the Labour |Party ballot of members he was placed only fourth on the list as an ethnic minorities candidate had to be placed second on the list followed by a women candidate both of which gained less than half the votes   gained by Cllr. Turner. Explained as positive discrimination by the Party, Cllr Turner described this as 'just discrimination '
