About the Welsh St. Donats Community Hall
The Community Hall in Welsh St Donats opened back in 1988 and has provided a very important focal point for community activities over the past 20 years. Over this time there have been a lot of changes in the Welsh St Donats district and this has been most marked over the last 5 to 10 years.
The influx of new people and young families is re-generating the area and there has never been a more important time to have available the community facilities offered by the Community Hall. Over the last 12 months the hall committee has been meeting on a much more regular basis with the objective of increasing the use of the hall and to create opportunities to raise funds to ensure that the Community Hall remains available for the community.
Communication with residents is a constant difficulty and there does not appear to be one single option that will ensure success.
To date we have used notices in the Parish Magazine, strategically placed billboards and the tried and tested method of “word of mouth” to try and ensure that everybody is aware of upcoming events.
We will continue to use these methods, but following suggestions from several residents we are also keen to offer the option of communications via email for those residents that are able to use this medium. If you wish to be added to the email list then please email:
