Highland-wide Local Development Plan

The next scheduled revision of the Highland-wide Local Development Plan (HwLDP) is due, and the Main Issues Report is available at the link below.

The Highland-wide Local Development Plan (HwLDP) was adopted by The Highland Council on 5 April 2012 and is reviewed every five years.  The Main Issues Report is the first stage of this revision process.

The plan is a vision for the whole area (excluding the area covered by the Cairngorms National Park which has its own plan) and sets out how land can be used by developers for the next 20 years. The HwLDP should be read alongside the Area Local Development Plans (the Inner Moray Firth Local Development Plan is the relevant one for WCC) and Local Plans which remain in place.

The Inner Moray Firth Local Development Plan is available at the same link.
