Dell of Inshes Retail Park plans

This is of interest to WCC residents because of the bottleneck on the B9006 Culloden Road crossing the A9 overbridge towards Inshes roundabout.

Corran Properties want to create shops, a family pub and restaurant and 13 community allotments in the vacant ground at Dell of Inshes, opposite Tesco's carpark.

"Westhill Community Council has been in conversation with the developer and HIE to facilitate pedestrian and cyclist traffic between the two sites. We have asked HIE to discuss with Transport Scotland how to use the opportunity to improve the A9 flyover for vehicles at the same time." (WCC Newsletter June 2013, p. 3).

"WCC is actively seeking how the A9 flyover can be better used by traffic, possibly by diverting pedestrian and cycle traffic via an underpass using developer funds from the proposed Dell of Inshes Retail Park development. This may give room for a third lane of traffic." (WCC Newsletter June 2013, p. 1).

This is the opportunity to improve the A9 overbridge while dealing with the Inshes roundabout.
