WARNING NOTICE

CSSIW are aware that a man in the Merthyr area is impersonating a member of Welsh Government/Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) staff.

The individual involved has been cold-calling at people’s homes to attempt to discuss domiciliary care with members of the public.  

Please note, CSSIW staff and inspectors do not cold-call and they are urging members of the public not to invite these people into your home or share personal information with them. If you are door-stepped or receive a suspicious visit from a cold-caller, you can call Trading Standards (via Citizens Advice Bureau) on 08454 040506.  

Also don't be afraid to report anyone who is suspicious to the police by calling 101.
