'Writers in the Park,' is a weekly creative writing workshop, led by Janet Daniel with an emphasis on writing for well-being, and is supported by RCT and Friends of The Park.  It aims to give local people the opportunity to share and write their stories in a friendly, confidential group, and the inspiring environment of Taff's Well park. 

Starts Thursday morning, September 18th 2014at 9.30am. Numbers limited. Registration by application form essential.

 

Janet Daniel is interested in people and their stories. She has lived happily in the light of the Garth for the past 35 years. She has been a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist since 1997,and worked in the NHS, private, public and voluntary sectors, counselling people with a range of mental health,family, relationship,personal issues and difficulties.  She started creative writing eight years ago,attending many creative writing classes and workshops, and has written memoir, poetry, short stories and plays. She has a certificate in higher education and MSc in media studies from Cardiff University. She is a BACPsenior accredited counsellor and a member of Lapidus, the UK organisation promoting writing for well-being. Writing for Well-Being brings together her two passions. She has just completed a course run by the Orchard Foundation, which prepares her for running therapeutic writing courses.
