Our local PCSO has reported that there has been a significant increase in reported crime over the past month much of it associated with increased burglaries within both the Taff’s Well and Nantgarw areas.

There have been five shed burglaries. Items stolen included power tools, off road mountain bike and a bicycle. In addition, an attempted burglaries has taken place at the Garth works site and on the building site of the old Anchor public house.

Theft of garden furniture is also on the increase with three separate incidents reported this month. Items stolen included garden furniture and a heavy metal anvil

Make sure you are not a victim of crime and lock your shed securely when you are not at home. If you see anything suspicious or require advice about home security please contact:
