RCT TO BE MERGED WITH MERTHYR 

The Commission on Public Service Governance and Delivery has now published its report on the restructuring of Public Services in Wales (January 2014) and the report will now be considered by the Welsh Assembly Government.

One of the recommendations contained within the report is that:-. RCT County Council be merged with Merthyr Tydfil County Council .

The report also recommends that Community councils should also be reorganised but makes no recommendation on how this will proceed.
