PLANNING APPLICATION 13/0967/13

APPLICATION TO REDEVELOP  GARTH WORKS FOR RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION

The Community Council has been informed that an amended plan has been submitted on the above application. At this stage the application is an ‘outline application’ but the proposal is to build over 135 properties on the site and extend the park and ride spaces to serve Taff’s Well railway station.

The Community Council is concerned about the loss of industrial land and the potential loss of jobs within the area. It is also concerned that, if approved, the application will set a precedent which will allow further redevelopment throughout this industrial site.

A PUBLIC MEETING has therefore been arranged so that residents can make their views known. The meeting will take place at:-

SAINTS MARY AND JAMES’ CHURCH HALL; CHURCH STREET TAFF’S WELL

TUESDAY 21 JANUARY 2014 at 7 pm

Given the scale of the development, the County Council has issued a CD of the proposals a copy of which can be borrowed from the HUB (community library) Cardiff Road.
