THERMAL SPRING SURVEY

Over the next few months a group of 16 Geography students at the University of Glamorgan will bee working in partnership with Rhondda Cynon Taf County Council to create a general increased awareness and use of the thermal spring which is located at Taff’s Well Park.

The spring itself is only one of a handful in the United Kingdom and the only existing natural thermal spring in Wales. We believe that the thermal spring should become a highlight of South Wales tourism and provide increased visitors to the area thereby increasing local business opportunities.

In order that the views of local residents are taken full into account the students will be undertaking a survey of local residents and incorporating their views into the final report on this important project.
