Work on new bus shelters to start in August
REFURBISHMENT OF BUS SHELTERS TO START IN AUGUST
The Community Council's have been informed that work on the provision of new bus shelters is planned to commence on the 22 August and will be completed by the end of September 2011.
The upgrade of the shelters will involve installing new bus shelters, raising the height of the kerbs and providing bus stop markings, to ensure that parked vehicles do not cause an obstruction to buses. This will enable buses to pull-in alongside the pavement for passenger safety.
The work will be carried out by Streetcare & Bus Shelter (Wales) and the Authority will do everything it can to keep disruption to a minimum.
