NO INCREASE IN COMMUNITY COUNCIL RATES

NO INCREASE IN COMMUNITY COUNCIL RATES

The Community Council is pleased to announce that there will be no increase in its Community Charge levy for the next financial year.

                                           Cllr Jill Bonetto
Commenting on this achievement Councillor Jill Bonetto, Chairman of the Community Council stated: - “Whilst residents can expect substantial increases from almost every public body, the Community Council has, through sound financial management and prudent housekeeping managed to freeze its rate levy for the next financial year.

Despite the freeze we will continue to provide much needed grant aid to local community groups and have plans to convert the derelict play area in Ty Rhiw into a “garden facility” with benches that residents can be used to enjoy the garden. We will are also pledged to continue to support the additions to the Community Council’s Allotments and provide a Community Garden Area that will be accessible to the whole of the Community.

In addition, we will do our best to make sure that there is a co-ordinated approach to the provision of services and seek partnership arrangements with the County Council thereby ensuring that local residents get ‘value for money’ and improvements to local services.”
