Community Council Supports Taff’s Well mini Rugby Team
Representatives and children of Taff’s Well Mini rugby section receive the Community Council’s cheque to enable them to purchase new kit
The Community Council has agreed to sponsor Taff’s Well Rugby Club’s mini rugby teams.
The under 8s 9s and 11s teams needed new shorts, rugby socks and wet weather suits so that they could continue training.
The kit will be kept by the rugby club rather than given to the children and in this way “passed down” kit can be reused when the children grow out of them.
In agreeing to act as a sponsor the Council was conscious that team numbers have grown tremendously over the past years and that the club has done a magnificent job in encouraging youngsters, both boys and girls, to become involved in sporting activities and team building skills.
The sponsorship money will ensure that the club is able to continue its programme of youth development and we wish them well in their future endeavours.
