PLANNING PERMISSION REFUSED

 It is with deep regret that we report the RCT County Council has refused planning permission to allow the Ty Rhiw Cemetery Chapel to be used for mixed community use.

The decision to refuse the application was AGAINST the advice of the Planning Officer and we believe was based on considerations that were not associated with planning law. In addition, it is clear that misinformation was given to the committee members about the proposed uses of the Chapel. The Community Council will therefore lodge an appeal with the Planning Inspectorate of the National Assembly for Wales and request that this decision be investigated and overturned.
