The final deadline to register interest in taking part in the University of Edinburgh IDEAL Home Energy Research Project is Friday 9th March. This research project is exploring how smart technology can help save energy in the home and reduce gas and electricity bills.
The benefits of taking part include:
Participants will be given advice from the University of Edinburgh experts on their home energy use
Participants will receive (and keep) a new android tablet (which displays the energy information)
Participants will gain insight into their home energy use
Participants will save money on their gas and electric bills. One participant has saved £116 in the first quarter alone.
The main criteria to take part is as follows: Participants must live in EH or KY (1-7,11-12) postcode areas and have gas combi boiler heating and home broadband.
Participants must not be planning to move before the end of June.
