Adoption of Amendments to the Council’s Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils
Notice is hereby given, that Midlothian Council, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by Section 53 (1) of the above mentioned Act, has concluded the public consultation exercise on proposed amendments to the Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils.
A Special Meeting of the Council held on 10th June 2014 agreed to adopt the Amended Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils, together with associated documentation and plan of community councils’ areas and disposition, with immediate effect and require all community councils to have completed the process for the establishment of a new council under the amended scheme within 3 years.
