MELD is looking for a number of highly motivated individuals to join our expanding recovery service. We are recruiting people who are committed to providing services for individuals with substance misuse issues, who can work effectively as part of a dynamic team and in partnership with statutory services.
East Lothian Substance Misuse Worker; Part Time (21 hours) 1 Year Contract Salary: £24,059 - £27,067 Pro-rata & Midlothian Substance Misuse Worker; Part Time (17.5 hours) Salary: £24,059 - £27,067 Pro-rata You will be expected to provide advice, information and support to individuals who are experiencing difficulties with substance misuse and related issues. An appropriate qualification in Health, any of the Social Sciences or Counselling with demonstrable experience of working with clients who have difficulties with substance misuse, an ability to work in a flexible manner and adhere to a recovery focussed approach and a full driving licence and own transport are essential criteria.
East Lothian GP Outreach Peer Support Worker; Full-time (35 hours) Salary: £21,164 - £21,793 &2 x East Lothian Recovery Hub Peer Support Worker; Full Time (35 hours) Salary: £19,570 - £20,157 The role of the Peer Support Worker is to provide and promote peer support and recovery services to people recovering from the problematic use of alcohol and drugs. This will be achieved by supporting people in the different phases of their recovery from initial engagement with services and the recovery community through to options for education, training, volunteering and employment.
