Covid-19 update

First Minister’s Covid-19 update:

There is reason to be optimistic, we must continue to remain cautious due to the high levels of infection in our communities.

From Monday 24th January, the restrictions put in place to counter Omicron will be lifted in Scotland:

No limits on indoor public events.

1-meter physical distancing between different groups in indoor public spaces no longer required.

Table service in hospitality venues serving alcohol no longer required.

Nightclubs can reopen.

Professional indoor contact sports can resume.

The three-household limit on indoor gatherings will be removed. However, we should remain cautious in our social interactions at this stage.

Please continue to take lateral flow tests – especially before mixing with other people or visiting a hospital or care home.
