NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2016

Inverness digital marketing agency, teclan ltd,

has purchased the Old Kilcoy House in Tore, both to use as additional offices for their growing company, and also as a high-end, digital business centre offering individual and multiple offices to let; each with internet, heating, lighting and cleaning services included.

teclan are bringing high-speed internet fibre connectivity directly to the Old Kilcoy House property in Tore,. This also affords the community an opportunity to receive very fast broadband connections by way of wireless, line of sight, radio network distribution; both directly from the chimney stacks at Kilcoy house, and also via line of sight repeater masts where required.

teclan will be able to offer synchronous broadband speeds of around 25-30MB (upload AND download) to all buildings within a line of sight of either Tore or a repeater mast. It is estimated that there would be an initial installation cost of £100-£150 to install a small "side-plate sized" dish on a property along with monthly broadband costs of £30-£35 for this service. Additionally, phone-over-internet service, using existing 01463 numbers, could also be delivered over this superfast connection.

teclan's Managing Director, Fergus Weir, states "We understand there are significant internet connection issues in the community and we are keen to share the benefits that the ultra-fast fibre connection we are investing in for Old Kilcoy House with the wider community".

Anyone interested in finding out more can contact Fergus on fergusweir@teclan.com or 01463 898043.

The next project is based in the  Black Isle, with events such as two wild life adventure days with ranger, Martin Hind. It is planned to begin with an event

It is planned to link all over the world ( silver threads) by  tweeting to groups all round the world.  A Blog  has been generated on ‘flicker’:www.flicker.com/photos/nicksidle. Heartstone welcomes new ideas for the proposed new book.
