PUBLIC SERVICES OMBUDSMAN’S REPORT/ TY RHIW CHAPEL
Cllr Adrian Hobson
Following a complaint, by the Clerk of the Community Council, that the County Councillor Adrian Hobson had breached the code of conduct the Public Services Ombudsman has decided not to investigate the matter further.
The Ombudsman was satisfied that the original investigation by the County Councils Monitoring office which concluded that there was NO COLLUSION between officer of the County Council and the Council’s Clerk was valid and that there would be no useful purpose in reinvestigating this matter.
In respect of the applicaion process the Ombudsman was not convinced, by the evidence submitted, that the member had predetermined the planning application and therefore decided not to pursue the matter further.
Councillor Hobson has once again been invited to place any evidence that he has that the Council or its Members acted illegally in the hands of the police but he still chooses to deal with this matter by innuendo rather than through the proper channels.
If he does have any evidence that any member or officer of the Council acted illegally then he should immediately report the matter to the Police. We will leave residents to judge this matter but his refusal to proceed speaks volumes.
Councillor Hobson had also called for action to be taken against the Council but his request was dismissed by the Ombudsman.
