Extraordinary WCC meeting

Extraordinary WCC meeting

Thursday 26 June 2014

7:00 p.m. in Cradlehall Primary School, Cradlehall Park.

Tim Stott of The Highland Council presented details of the Inshes and Raigmore Development Brief and Inshes Junction Improvements Phase 2.  A few dozen people were present to hear the discussion of the options.  The public is encouraged to respond online to these consultations.  Make sure you tell The Highland Council to make widening the Culloden Road A9 overbridge a priority.

The Inshes Roundabout proposals will take longer to implement, but safety issues on the A9 and on Culloden Road make the flyover a priority.

This follows a recent East Inverness consultation by Transport Scotland about the A9/A96 Connection Study and the roundabout at the Kessock Bridge, and The Highland Council proposals for the local road network.

Two new members were co-opted to the WCC - Mr Bill Dougan and Mr Duncan Macpherson.

Hard copies of the June 2014 WCC Newsletter were available at the meeting.  An electronic version is available in the Library menu on the left of the website.

There will be an extraordinary meeting in August 2014 for the AGM, postponed by the WCC being in abeyance for the past few months.

Regular meetings will commence in September 2014 on the second Wednesday of the month at the new time of 7:00 p.m.
