►The next meeting of the Community Council will take place on Tuesday, 12th March 2019 at 7:00 pm in the Invercarron Resource Centre, Low Wood Road. Any member of the public is welcome to attend

There are currently several vacancies for community councillors. Please contact us if you are interested or, alternatively, come along to the next meeting.

 

Stonehaven Railway Station upgrade. Abellio Scotrail Ltd proposed to improve facilities at the railway station. The work will include refurbishment of the waiting room, disabled toilets, underpass and shelters.

►Public Access Defibrillators in Stonehaven: A new PAD was installed at the Fire Station on Wednesday, 6th February. This new defibrillator has been fully funded by an award from the Meikle Carewe Wind Farm Community Fund and we thank the Kincardineshire Development Partnership and RES for their support and Stonehaven Town Partnership for their part in securing the funds and working with us on this project. ►Aberdeenshire Council will host drop-in sessions throughout the area during February and March to discuss the Local Development Plan 2021 Main Issues Report. One will be held in the Community Education Centre in Stonehaven on Wednesday, 6th March from 2:30 until 7:00 pm. At the meeting on Tuesday 29th January in Mackie Academy, Aberdeenshire Council and JBA Consulting presented a range of options for protection against Coastal Flooding for Stonehaven.  There is now an opportunity  to provide feedback

Comments should be submitted by Wednesday 13th February either by email to flooding@aberdeenshire.gov.uk or by handing a paper copy to the Roads Reception at Carlton House.

 

►The Community Council facilitated a meeting on Thursday, 13th December to discuss the new e-Consult scheme recently introduced by Stonehaven Medical Centre. A summary of the conclusions will be published soon.

 

►Work started on the Flood Protection Scheme along the lower reaches of the River Carron on 7th January 2019 and is expected to last around 2 years.
