The Black Mountain Centre
Formerly known as Brynamman Community Centre, The Black Mountain Centre is housed in the Old Infant's School at the centre of Brynamman, the western gateway to the Brecon Beacons National Park. Following extensive renovation work the Centre was successfully re-launched as The Black Mountain Centre in June 2009.
As well as playing a key role in community life in Brynamman, The Black Mountain Centre offers a range of facilities for visitors and business customers throughout the year. From Tourist Information to delicious home-cooked food, free Internet access, interesting heritage displays, gallery and conference rooms. All the income generating facilities will hopefully help the Centre to achieve sustainability and any profit made will be gift aided back into the community activities.

Community Fuel Clubs
The Fuel Club was set up to help people in the area get the cheapest price for domestic heating oil. The club has over 500 members. By ordering in bulk the Club is able to negotiate a competitive price from oil suppliers. The suppliers also benefit financially from the scheme because they are able to deliver to many customers in a small geographical area with a full tank. It is possible to save around 5 pence a litre through the bulk-buying scheme. The minimum order is 200 litres and orders are made on the last Wednesday of the month. To get more information about this money-saving community scheme you can contact for Fuel Orders , by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or call in at the Ystradowen Community Centre any Wednesday between 10.00am and 12.00 noon.
Or email@example.com or call at the Black Mountain Centre to fill in an order form.
