Our Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be

Monday 15 September 2025 at 7pm in Milton of Leys Primary School (new date in September)

The doors will open at 6.45pm, all are welcome. Please come round to the back door past the gym hall if the front door is not open. We are all volunteers ourselves and want to encourage new people to come along and get involved in your local community.

We aim to finish by 9pm and usually finish far earlier.

Our Community Council is for everyone who lives in the Inshes & Milton of Leys area.

UPDATE 2-SEP-25 - Milton of Leys Open/Green Spaces

It is very sad to see so many trees down some causing damage after the big winds a few weeks ago. It highlights the importance of regular tree maintenance and inspections, usually by factors on behalf residents who pay for that service along with grass cutting, gorse removal against fire risk etc.

As many of you know, there is a huge question over factoring and maintenance in Milton of Leys. The folk trying hard to address this are Milton of Leys Residents Association. Milton of Leys Residents Association is not connected to us (Inshes and Milton of Leys Community Council), and also is not connected with Milton of Leys Residents Facebook group or Milton of Leys Community Grounds Facebook group as we understand it, useful though those groups are.

Milton of Leys Residents Association need support and importantly positively minded volunteers to help work towards a constructive long term solution. They can be contacted on: molresidentsassociation@gmail.com.

Monday 29th September 2025 at 7pm - 9pm in Milton of Leys Primary School

We understand there will be an update on the Factoring situation as part of the Chairs Report and any new committee members will be voted in. Please see further details here. They do need positively minded volunteers willing to take on roles to work towards a constructive solution to this complex issue. A constructive long term solution may well be out there but it will take community spirit to build it.

Come Join Us

Come help us make things better for our community. Whatever interests you, school drop off zones, playparks, flooding, litter, paths, we want to hear from you, and if you want to join us, we would be delighted.

We are particularly keen to hear from people in Milton of Leys.
