Gwernymynydd Village Centre
Gwernymynydd Village Centre is conveniently located immediately off the main A494 which runs through our village. It is on the left hand side as you travel up the hill from Mold, just past the pelican crossing. The postcode is CH7 4AF.
In 2016, the Village Centre Committee took on a 25 year lease for the property with Flintshire County Council. The Centre therefore is now entirely self-financing and, providing this can be maintained, is secure long term resource for the village and neighbouring communities.
Gwernymynydd Village Centre is available for a variety of purposes, such as fund raising, children’s parties, dances, attic sales, bring & buy sales, band/choir practices etc. and has various afternoon and evening vacancies available.
As well as a large hall area, the Centre has kitchen facilities, full toilet facilities (including disabled) and a small committee room which can be hired separately or be included in with the other rooms. The football pitch can be hired for occasional matches or on a regular basis and has changing rooms and showers.
For details of times available and hire charges, please ring Donna Worthington on 0790 093 8850.
We regret that we are not able to take bookings for young person parties (teenagers / 21st birthday).
The Village Centre is run by a Management Committee which is made up of
6 elected members
up to 4 co-opted representatives of voluntary organisations active within the community
2 representatives from the Community Council
1 representative from Flintshire County Council (Councillor Nancy Mathews).
The above is extracted from the Village Centre Constitution
The committee has the following officers currently appointed:
