We already have a website
Many Community Councils have perfectly good websites already, but it's still worth registering with us. We hope to provide a comprehensive directory of all Community Council websites, whether on our system or not. This directory will be available as a feed to be inserted into other websites if they wish. Click here to have your site added to our list.

What do we get?

What if we want our own domain?
All sites hosted by us will be available using an address such as www.community-council.org.uk/mytown/ but you can easily register a domain of your own and point it at that folder, so that someone going to www.mytowncommunitycouncil.com would arrive at the site. This can be extremely cheap (under £5 per year), but if you want the site to be fully hosted on your own domain, this can be done through our web hosts, Calico, who can set you up with a domain and email address for around £15 per annum.

What if we want more facilities?
We're happy to discuss creating additional facilities to add to your website - we may need to charge you for creating such facilities, or if we feel it would be beneficial to all customers we may create it and make it available system wide.

We also need a business directory / local discussion forum / photo gallery / history society site etc.
Community-Council.org.uk supplies websites specifically to allow Community Councils to disseminate information about themselves. Our parent company, Plexus Media design and program websites to promote entire communities, both to locals and visitors. We will be happy to discuss a site such as this with you, but it would not be created within the Community-Council.org.uk framework.
