This year’s Eyemouth Twilight 5km walk / jog /run to be held in on 26th Aug 2016.
The inaugural twilight run was held in 2011 with over 120 people taking part and proved to be an outstanding community event.
In 2015 over 140 participated
Since 2011 the run hash raised money for the Margaret Kerr unit at the BGH, Sick Kids Hospital Edinburgh, The Western General Cancer Unit, local girls with disabilities and in 2015 the local lifeboats were the chosen beneficiaries. The 2015 run Last year the run raised £934
The 2016 event is in aid of Breast, Cervical cancer and Testicular cancer.
Eyemouth Town Community Council member, David Dempster, has been the organiser of this event a number of years and is pleased that that the run now has the backing of Eyemouth Town Community Council, assisting with insurance cover and affiliation to Scottish Athletics.
