It would seem that Monkland's has earned a temporary reprieve at least until Larbet is open for business. The new Larbet hospital will accept people from Cumbernauld and surrounding district when Monkland's closes the A&E dept in four years time. The minor injuries clinic near the town centre is to go ahead. Details are still sketchy but we will kweep you posted.
