Petitioning Highland Council
Highland Council has provided a new avenue for individuals, communities or groups to have their concerns or issues considered and debated by the full Council or one of its strategic committees. The regulations are not as flexible as we would like, and we hope that Inverness Area Community Councils Forum will discuss the implications of this soon.
This should not discourage individuals from producing their own petitions in whatever form it suits them.
