New traffic lights will be installed at the Tower Road and Culloden Road junction.
This junction has been an accident blackspot with regular road traffic accidents.
Cradlehall and Westhill Community Council has asked for these lights for some years, ever since it was revealed that the accident rate was identical to the Tower Road and Barn Church Road junction, in spite of there being traffic lights there for many years, which were recently upgraded.
Work is scheduled to begin on 30 September 2024 and will last for eight weeks. Details are here.
The B9006 Culloden Road will remain open but will be subject to traffic control at various times during the works.
The upper end of Tower Road – between Caulfield Road and Culloden Road - will be closed for part of the period, with traffic diverted via Caulfield Road. This will reduce the duration of the works, minimise the use of three way traffic lights and minimise delays to traffic on Culloden Road.
