P&K Council Statement on development at Taymouth Castle Estate
The Council has updated its statement on the development.
Golf Course Maintenance Building Planning Application
An application was submitted by Taymouth Castle Estate to put a new golf course maintenance building on the land at the bottom of Taymouth Drive. After consultation with the community, the Community Council formally objected to the application. The estate has informed us that, following discussions with the Community Council, and with the benefit of feedback received from both the community here and Perth and Kinross Coucil Planning Department, it has withdrawn the application. The estate will now revise its plans to reflect that feedback and will re-engage again.

Bring your friends and family- enjoy an Easter muffin, shortbread bunny and much more! Activities free but donations - towards the Reading Room, a developing hub at the heart of the community - are very welcome.

A Warm Start This Year for Kenmore
The Breadalbane Reading Room was this year, the recipient of a generous grant from the Perth and Kinross Council Warm Welcome fund.
This has allowed the historic Breadalbane Reading Room to open its doors every Thursday afternoon from 1.30pm to 4.30pm from the 11th January to the 28th March to members of the community who have enjoyed a bowl of hot soup, a cuppa and a blether in front of the blazing log fire.
A spokesperson on behalf of the Breadalbane Reading Room committee, said they were delighted to have received this grant and appreciated very much the support of PKC Warm Welcome Fund, while at the same time acknowledging the generosity and ongoing support of Taymouth Castle in bringing this project to the community.
The spokesperson added. “Although Kenmore is a small community, it has been wonderful to see a committed group of volunteers who have come each week to help make this project such a success.”

‘Pre-Easter Brain Teaser’ - Another Quiz Night Success.
The second Quiz Night of the year was held on Friday, 8th March at the Breadalbane Reading Room. The event was very well attended with nearly forty contestants eager to pit their wits against subjects as diverse as European history, Scottish folklore and Superhero movies. The event raised more than £300 to help fund projects and restorations at the Breadalbane Reading Room. Well done to all the volunteers and a big thank you to all the Quizzers who came to support this event at the heart of our community.
Sand movement from Inchadney
The haulage of sand from Inchadney to the castle golf course has started. Loads will be running from Inchadney through the castle east gate. It is planned to temporarily open up the new west access, for sand hauling vehicles only, from Monday 5 February, (weather permitting), minimising haulage vehicles on the A827. At the west gate, there are vehicle and pedestrian gates, manned, throughout the west access construction period, for health and safety reasons and to ensure public safety at the temporarily diverted core path. Loads are limited to 30 trucks per day and must follow all of the conditions (eg restricted ooperating hours) set out in the planning consent. Drivers have been advised to manage speed and be extra careful. In the event of an emergency or for any direct contact with the contractor, please contact Kevin Cross of Cross Civils & Construction Services Ltd, on 07484 143688 or email kevin@crossservices.co.uk
