The Royal Burgh of Jedburgh Community Council welcomes you and looks forward to working together to benefit the town throughout 2010
We meet monthly to discuss issues affecting the town, including possible developments and projects. The Scottish Borders councillors for the Jedburgh area attend regularly. We also liaise with other bodies and agencies including police.
The aim of the council is to secure what is best for the future prosperity and wellbeing of Jedburgh and its citizens. Council meetings are open to the public who may come and observe and, at the discretion of the chairman, take part.
The council is also involved in the annual Christmas Lights project and is keen to support other community projects in the Royal Burgh.
Community councillors also play a role in the civic life of the town, particularly on Remembrance Sunday and during the Jethart Callants Festival.
We hope through this site to keep constituents in touch with the work of the Community Council.
We would ask all of you who view this site to actively use the feedback menu.
