Appointment of Interim Director of Planning and Development (15/01/08)

Richard Hartland

Following the retiral of John Rennilson as Director of Planning and Development with The Highland Council, and until an appointment is made on a permanent basis, the Chief Executive has asked Richard Hartland, Head of Planning and Building Standards, to act as Interim Director of Planning and Development with immediate effect.

Mr Hartland joined the Council as Head of Planning and Building Standards in June 2006, moving from West Lothian Council, where he was Development Control and Building Standards Manager.

He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Scottish Society of Directors of Planning.

The Council will re-advertise the post of Director of Planning and Development later this week.
